Tasting:

Chilled before drinking. Clear, almost colorless. Unusual yeasty aromas of strawberry, plum and honeysuckle floral. Silky smooth with an off dry mouthfeel (it’s actually more fruity than sweet), light body and a 600-grit texture. Although the label calls it “Strawberry” Sake (it’s made using strawberry flower sake yeast) there were strong fruit flavors of strawberry, plum and the sourness of mulberry that build in the mouth all the way through an upturning finale that ended with a zesty assortment of slightly sweet fruit. It did have discernible acidity, but it was fresh and crisp with a unique fruity surge. This was probably the most refreshing Sake we have ever had and the silky fruit tastes were just irresistible.
