Tasting:

Opened and decanted 90-minutes before drinking. Clear, Violet/purple color with a lighter purple color rim. Invigorating cherry, plum, tobacco and wet leather aromas. Spicy, dry and boisterous mouthfeel, medium body and a 80-grit texture. Ripe cherry, tar, licorice and a glimmer of cranberry flavors. Lots of bright acidity, POWERFUL MOUTH PUCKERING tannins and a long fruit and tannic finish. WOW, WOW this was like an irrupting volcano!!! From mid-palate on it just exploded with flavors intertwined with tannins. Simply good old fashion Italian table wine!!! We called it an exuberant Nebbiolo blend that was a FANTASTIC value.
