Tasting:

He said: Opened 45-minutes before drinking. (Beer bottle cap instead of a cork) Violet-tinged dark garnet color with the same color rim. Powerful plum and current aromas. Mouth puckering full-body; noteworthy bone dry fruit taste and an exceptionally long finish. PERFECT pairing with the lamb. And, I’ll have to say it’s a true WOW Italian Nebbiolo. So dry, yet packed with fruit flavors and delicious mildly grippy tannins. Two thumbs up from me on this one. Recently we met Luca Garbergolio, a son of the wine-maker, at a Caviste wine dinner where we first tasted this and all I can say is “thank you Luca” for making and sharing such an marvelous wine. It’s simply an OUTSTANDING Italian Nebbiolo!!!

She said: We had this at a wine dinner with lamb tenderloin, pumpkin seed and seared tomato and liked it enough to buy two bottles…a good decision. It was delicious with our lamb and cherry sauce as well as sipping with the Camembert cheese on artisan bread. The fruity aroma grabs you immediately and carries it to a mouthful of similar flavors with full body and tenants that get more grippy in the long tasty finish. The robust wine is dry, smooth and spirited. It is a quality wine at a $25 and I would recommend it and buy it again.
