Tasting:

Chilled before opening. Clear, light wheat straw color. Strong vegetative aromas including dry “horse hay” (Brome grass, Bromus pubescens and Timothy), pear, unripe melon and green apples with a little lime citrus, tropical fruit and yeasty whiffs. Smooth, dry, mineral, medium body and a fine 400-grit texture. Potent pear, cinnamon, and French tarragon flavors, crisp acidity and a pungent tasting long finish with tastes of apricot and pine nuts all wrapped around a magnificent mineral structure. Dry Chenin Blanc that was a perfect pairing with the salad and a delightful sipping wine after the meal. For us the flavorful mineral really made this wine special. GREAT Chenin Blanc at a FANTASTIC price.
