Tasting:

Opened 45-minutes before drinking. Clear, ruby red color with the same color rim. Cherry aroma with lots and lots of “Autumn Sunset” rose blossoms, damp earth and even a little mushroom house. Smooth, dry, enticing, expressive, medium-light body and a 200-grit texture. Ripe cherry and a touch of current flavors, fresh acidity and wonderful structured tannins that all carry through a long dusty and substantial mineral finish. What can you say…low alcohol, well balanced and classically “Old World” Pinot Noir, not the rich, fruit-focused and mouth-filling California variety that’s trying to be Cabernet!!! This was seductive and simply STELLAR Pinot Noir.
