Tasting:

Opened and decanted one hour before drinking. Opaque, inky purple color with a slightly lighter rim. Musty blackberry, prune, dark olives and dried rosemary aromas. Smooth entry, bitter, spicy and chewy mouthfeel, strong medium to full body and a 150-grit texture. Lots of fruity flavors including blackberry, plum and blueberry along with lots of chalky mineral, black pepper and tar tastes. Plenty of bright acidity, significant fine grained well integrated tannins and an impressive bitter, black tea tasting finish. WOW, WOW, WOW what a dramatic red wine. Lots of acidity, tannins and fruit tastes that paired perfectly with the pork BBQ. This wine is not for the faint-of-heart…it’s IMPRESSIVE, BIG, BOLD and packed with fruit, spice and adventure. This is a very special super value wine!!!
