Tasting:

He said: Crystal clear garnet red color. Modest cherry aromas. Rich, dry taste that goes into an extraordinary very long, dry, supple, and full-flavored finish. This Nebbiolo is loaded with cherry flavor and has depth and a rich texture. In mid-palate it drops off slightly, but comes back for a VERY strong amazing finish. It was good with the blue cheese; but would also be great without food. It’s a delicious wine.

She said: Not every wine can stand up against our very tasty blue cheese but this wine was up tyo the job. The strong bouquet and more gentle flavor allowed the blue cheese to shine but the dry finish with its firm tannins ended with a celebration of the wine. The real value of the wine came out when we sipped it after lunch. This wine needs nothing to go with it and is delicious on its own.
