Tasting:

Opened and decanted two hours before drinking. Clear, brownish ruby color with a pale ruby rim. Robust cherry, raspberry and heavy rose floral aromas. Soft entry, luscious and fresh mouthfeel, light body and a 100-grit texture. Very strong cherry and cranberry fruit flavors with lots of spicy anise and pepper in every sip. Bright acidity that really made it unusually fresh. Silky, well integrated tannins and a finish that was a real WOW with its length and robust tastes. For a young Nebbiolo this was filled with characteristic qualities that were well beyond its price point. We love nebbiolo and this one really shined with its concentrated flavors and the way they linger on and on. We called it an outstanding value nebbiolo.
