Tasting:

He said: Chilled before opening. Very light lemon yellow & green color. Faint green tropical fruit and floral blossom aromas. Quite strong fruit taste that carries through a medium-long finish with a tad of mineral. Dry, fruity and rich, a tad of creaminess in the mouth and a cool, delicious sweet fruit flavor that was a perfect complement to the slightly hot chili. We’re not into Riesling wine, but this was simply OUTSTANDING. Everything about it was smooth and delicious and I loved it with the dinner and sipping alone after dinner.

She said: Clear with thin well spaced legs that are slightly pokey. I was very put off when Ray suggested a Riesling for the chili dinner because I don’t like Rieslings. Well, I’m glad he persisted because I was dead wrong. The Riesling was delicious both with the dinner and as a sipping wine. A soft fruity aroma led to a smooth creamy taste with medium body and a long delicious finish. The fruitiness of the wine balanced the acidity of the dinner and I could not have asked for a better pairing, although I admit the wine was much better than the dinner. A Riesling like this really makes me think I could fall in love with Rieslings!
