He said: Opened 1-hour before drinking. Clear, dark purple color with the same color rim. Intense dark fruit, fir sawdust and hints of mushroom aromas. The initial taste was smooth and juicy. At mid-palate there was a big change, slight grip to the tannins and dry fruit. By the end if the finish there was real grip to the tannins and dry, slightly bitter fruit that went on and on. Well, at only $14.40 this was a very exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. Lots of juicy fruit that was well balanced with the acidity and a GREAT Cabernet finish. Very food friendly (it paired perfectly with the grilled chicken), absolutely delicious with dark chocolate and good drinking alone. This is clearly Quality Cabernet Sauvignon at a Bargain Price and a very noteworthy one at this price point!!!
She said: Very dark, almost black, very opaque, lots of thin evenly spaced well moving legs. There is a big WOW factor for this wine right from the beginning. It had big dark fruit flavored aromas and taste with a mouth-feel that was dry, smooth, and medium bodied. The tannins were there in the mouth but come forth in the finish that was long but more about the tannins than flavor. The wine was absolutely great with Ray’s BBQ sauce on the grilled chicken and I think we should buy a case to have with the many dinners the sauce is used. This is a great buy at $14 …a true bargain wine! You will seek far and wide to fine a better cab at this price…it is worth at least twice the selling price.
