Tasting:

Chilled before drinking. Clear, almost colorless with just the slightest wheat straw tint. Nice aromas of lemon, green apple and orange blossoms just starting to bloom. Smooth, crisp and dry, vivacious mouthfeel, medium body and a 400-grit texture. Flavors of Granny Smith apple, tart lemon and pineapple with hints of Crème Brûlée and ripe Seckel Pears. Lots of crisp acidity and a long tart mineral finish that’s intertwined with tropical fruit tastes. WOW, wonderful Chardonnay…it was so fresh and lively. More old world than new world and a FANTASTIC value. This came right out of left field and hit the jackpot!!! We haven’t had any South African Chardonnay for a couple of years and this one really renewed our interest. It paired perfectly with the Parmesan chicken and pesto pasta; but was also FABULOUS sipping with out food after the dinner. A STELLAR Chardonnay that was sassy and filled with classic tastes. This is a wine we strongly recommend buying by the case!!!
