Tasting:

He said: Chilled before opening. Crystal clear, oat straw color. Quite strong floral aromas with a hint of ripe peach. Fresh, dry, tart fruit taste with just a little creamy mouth-feel. The finish was dry, lingering and flavorful. WOW, WOW this is delicious “Old World” Chardonnay that has mineral in taste right through the finish. It went perfectly with the pesto chicken. I can’t call it a bargain because it’s more than $15 (our maximum for the bargain category). However, it’s an outstanding value and I give it a VERY strong recommendation, SUPERB quality Chardonnay at a VERY reasonable price…doesn’t that say it all!!!

She said: When Ray brought out a bottle of Beaujolais Blanc to accompany our dinner I looked forward to a treat and I was not disappointed. The aroma was delicious with ripe apple scents that led to a dry, refreshing flavor that was smooth on the palate and very delicious. With a medium body it had a pleasantly long finish. Delicious with the pesto chicken, and it accompanied the salad and pasta well too. A good pairing for this dinner and I would have it again any time. At $16.20 it is definitely a winner and was a perfect pairing for this dinner.
