Tasting:

Opened 90-minutes before drinking. Clear, light purple/ruby color. Captivating red fruit, damp earth and a tiny bit of lilac in the aroma, but with an unusual sustenance that really gave it character. Very smooth entry and plentiful raspberry, currant and peppery spice flavors loaded on an earthy substrate. The finish was long and ended with a captivating mineral and tartness. This was a real WOW red Burgundy…dazzling wine and a GREAT bargain on its own; however, paired with the flavors in the turkey roulade it was stellar and a true memorable pairing. Incredible freshness and balance of fruit and earth flavors. Needless to say we really liked this, but out of the eight bottles of burgundy opened at our Thanksgiving dinner this one was PERFECT right from the first sniff and the one we liked best. This gets two thumbs up from both of us!!!
