Tasting:

Opened and decanted one hour before drinking. Clear with lots of sediment on every pour, pale ruby/purple color with a lighter brownish color rim. Very aromatic with red fruit, cinnamon, tobacco, smoke and nutty aromas. Smooth entry, thin, savory and exhilarating mouthfeel, light to medium body and a 100-grit texture. Cherry, cranberry, mulberry, licorice and herb flavors. Plenty of well balanced acidity, fine grained tannins that come alive in the bitter mixed fruit finish. WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW this was a special Nebbiolo and a bottle every wine drinker should put on the must try shopping list. This wine had aromas that grew on you, reiterating waves of diverse mouthfeel and tastes and a finish that came with fireworks and a marching band. A young Nebbiolo, yet both the acidity and tannins were delicious and well balanced with the diverse assortment of tastes. We called it a quality Nebbiolo that’s an OUTSTANDING value.
