Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Opaque, inky dark purple/garnet color with a lighter purple rim. Cherry, damp wood and other juicy ripe berry aromas. Smooth, tangy, slightly rustic and lively mouthfeel, medium body and a 80-grit texture. Lots of ripe cherry, raspberry and strawberry fruit mixed with licorice candy flavors. Excellent balanced acidity, firm tannins and a long tart, peppery and fruity finish. In a nut-shell…a simple, easy drinking, food friendly Spanish red. Straight forward Grenache, yet there were glimmers of mineral and dried fig tastes. We enjoyed it and said it was a nice weeknight red that would pair well with almost any food.
