Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, dark garnet color with a rim that was the same color, but a tiny bit lighter. We upped our “New California Wine” tonight and it was a DRAMATIC step function. Strong wet wood, fresh plowed sod, cherry and raspberry aromas with strong hints of cinnamon and the ever present delicious Grenache savoriness at the end of every sniff. Smooth, dry, full body and a 100 grit texture. Intense peppery fruit flavors, especially cherry, plum and cranberry, FANTASTIC balance, prominent smooth-edged tannins and invigorating edgy acidity. This was a wine that started with captivating aromas and just got better and better as the wine swished through the mouth on its way to a memorable finish. A true WOW, WOW, WOW wine…so fresh and light, but so INTENSE and EXHILARATING. This was an INCREDIBLE California Grenache!!!
