Tasting:

He said: Very dark ruby red with purple tints in the color. Strong smoke, wet stone and damp earth, with just slight hints of floral in the aromas. Intense, juicy, red fruit (especially ripe current) with hints of orange zest in a taste that carries through the dryish medium-long finish. I loved it with the turkey dinner (everything except the cranberry and orange relish which was VERY acid) and it’s absolutely delicious with the white cheddar cheese. Beaujolais is my favorite and this one is really good. Intoxicating aromas, smooth an vibrant fruit flavors and a great wine to drink alone or with food. For me this is a both thumbs up wine!!!

She said: The dark red color is remarkable and sets the stage for the very aromatic earthy bouquet that lasted from beginning to end. The fruity flavor and light body went well with the nutty flavor of the mild but delicious cheese. The smoothness of the cheese was echoed by the silkiness of the wine. The tannins were soft and the finish was moderate in length. Delicious wine.
