Tasting:

He said: Crystal clear ruby red color. Light cherry aromas. Smooth silky texture, fresh cherry taste and soft tannins that carry through the medium-length very slightly earthy finish. I love Beaujolais and this one was GREAT. About as smooth as it gets and with complex layers of fruit flavors and just a touch of pepper. For me this was another OUTSTANDING Beaujolais; for Vicky it was just another OK Beaujolais…we clearly differ on how we like Gamay wine. I would drink Beaujolais any time with or without food and especially LOVE it when it comes from the Morgon region. For me this was a little touch of heaven!!!
I liked the strong “fresh from the garden” Greek oregano flavor of the chicken and thought it paired well with the wine.

She said: Pleasant light aroma that leads to a similar but lighter taste. The body was fairly medium light but ended in a tad of harshness as it evolved into the fairly short but pleasing finish. I am not partial to Beaujolais so I would not pair it again with this dinner. If you like Beaujolais you should totally disregard my opinion. To be fair, there was too much oregano in the dinner and it was bitter. The bitterness was really an issue with me and surely affected my opinion of the wine and the pairing.
