Tasting:

We first tasted this at a Caviste/Nobles Grill wine dinner with smoked duck and it was both an OUTSTANDING wine and pairing. We had it again at a recent Broadbent Selections tasting at the Caviste Wine Shop and again it was a highlight of the tasting. And, you can see from our comments here this is a tried and true winner with us…a truly MEMORABLE Douro!!!
She said: This is hands down a delicious wine. Our dinner was very simple and the wine truned it into a wonderful event. From the first sniff to the very end of the finish the wine excelled. Aromatic, flavorful, dry and full bodied, the wine pleased the palate and ended with oh so pleasing tannins. To expensive to be a bargain wine but I still recommend it as a VERY GOOD wine for the price.
Comments: Also try this wine’s “little brother” Quinta do Crasto Douro; it’s also a great Douro and an OUTSTANDING value at only $14.40.
