Tasting:

He said: Crystal clear, light green color. Floral, tropical fruit, goose berry and a touch of citrus aromas. Smooth, fresh, flavorful with lots of tart ripe tropical fruit and a very long tasty mouth filling finish. This is a new blend for us and it’s GREAT. It has the basic characteristics of a “New World” Sauvignon Blanc but, it’s enhanced with the floral bouquet and added depth and mouth-feel from the Semillon. Easy drinking with lots of fresh flavors and crisp acidity. A wonderful “New World” Australian white we could drink again and again. FANTASTIC lunch wine!!!

She said: Clear, widely spaced legs that move briskly. Lovely floral scent, intense at first but becoming more delicate. Light fresh fruit taste with medium body, pleasing acidity and a long finish. The Sauvignon Blanc gives zip and the Semillon gives the soft floral element to make it a delicious wine. It was spectacular with the seafood which was served in a rich creamy, cheesy sauce. The acidity of the wine balanced the creaminess of the sauce to create a beautiful pairing.

The blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon was delicious with the lunch and equally good as a sipping wine. Very drinkable wine, I would buy it again in a flash and have it with the same meal or try it with another similar sauce that needed the acidity to cut through its heaviness.

Comments: Purchased in a Sidney, Australia wine shop and consumed in the Britannia Restaurant on board the Cunard Queen Mary 2.
