Tasting:

Chilled before drinking. Clear, very pale wheat straw color. Lots of honey dew melon aromas mixed with lesser amounts of faint rose floral in the background and persistent hints of anise leaves. Silky smooth entry, dry, very fresh and lively mouthfeel, medium body and a 100-grit texture. Flavors abound including melon, tart crabapples and sporadic apricot. Lots of bright acidity and a long bitter finish. WOW, deliciously fresh, numerous tart flavors and an intoxicating finish that goes on and on. The aroma was like perfume, the complex intertwined flavors simply captivating and the lack of dominating sweet tropical flavors made the wine exhilarating. This really paired well with the salmon in cream sauce, yet we both commented how savory it was as a sipping wine after the dinner. We called it OUTSTANDING Viognier and have already ordered more!!!
