Tasting:

He said: Chilled before drinking. Clear, pale oat straw color with shiny golden tones. Honey aroma with hints of damp earth, lemon and honeysuckle floral. Smooth, with lots of body and fullness in the mouth-feel; quite intense pear, tart apple and rocky mineral taste that shines with the long acidic finish. WOW, WOW, no shrinking violet here, this is flavorful wine that stakes out its turf…the wonderful tart flavors and crisp refreshing acidity are absolutely captivating. Superb alone or have it with fish, seafood or salad and you will not be disappointed. FANTASTIC fresh Chenin Blanc.

She said: Medium-light golden color, clear, irregular thin steadily moving legs. This wine has a drop dead gorgeous aroma with hints of honey and smokey wood. The flavors are more fruity with pear coming forth surrounded by a cloud of green apple that persists into the long tasty finish. With medium body, it combines tartness and acidity to create a refreshing and easy drinking wine which was better alone than with the cantaloupe that was too sweet to support it. I craved something after finishing the cantaloupe and tried a salty pretzel but it was only slightly satisfying. A quality wine that I would recommend and buy again at $22.50
