He said: Chilled before drinking. Clear, light greenish/lemon yellow color with a slight fizz as its poured. RICH tropical fruit aromas. Effervescence mouth-feel; slightly tart lemon and melon taste that goes on through the long finish that has lots of delicious acidity and hints of spice. Exceptional paired with the cantaloupe avocado and mint in the salad, excellent drinking alone after the dinner. A VERY unique wine…it made the salad sing, but was super flavorful alone. The slight fizz, crisp acidity and tropical elements also made it a “Stand Out” Chardonnay and clearly gave it character. Two thumbs up for me. Unique Chardonnay that’s a perfect companion to ripe melon or other fruit in salad and the acidity went hand and glove with the oils in the avocado. A GREAT summertime Chardonnay.
She said: Pale chartreuse color, clear, slightly effervescent, ragged slow moving legs. This was one of those chameleon wines that changed dramatically as we had it after dinner. It played an accompaniment role with dinner much like a cello in an orchestra, adding depth but not sparkle. After dinner it blossomed forth with a big aroma of citrus and sweet fruit. The taste added tropical fruit and a hint of green apple plus a medium body, acidity and smoothness. The finish was long and continued the flavors, acidity and smoothness. Absolutely delightful! I would like to try it again with all sorts of different salads and fruit combinations. It was a bargain wine at only $14,40Comments:
