Tasting:

Chilled before drinking. Clear, oat straw color. Vanilla, lemon, rising bread dough and melon aromas. Silky smooth, succinct, very slightly creamy mouthfeel, medium body and a 400-grit texture. Evocative flavors of lemon, apple, Seckel Pear and traces of mineral flavors. Bright acidity and tart finish that’s wrapped around a solid mineral root and ends with just a touch of honeysuckle taste. WOW, FANTASTIC Chardonnay!!! Filled with a fresh and lively mouthfeel, contains a unique Sta, Rita Hills mineral taste from start to finish, just enough oak without being over done and all this comes with a BARGAIN price tag. It’s exactly what Jon Bonné calls the “New California Wine” in his book The New California Wine: A Guide to the Producers and Wines behind a Revolution in Taste. This was so delicious and reasonably priced for the quality it could easily be an outstanding “house Chardonnay”. We simply called it NOTEWORTHY Chardonnay that’s a COLOSSAL value.
