Purchased From: The Caviste Wine Shop; Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Paired With: Turkey carcass soup with onions, celery, carrots, and cabbage seasoned with thyme, sage, and rosemary; golden cornbread flavored with jalapeños and habaneros (that gave taste, but little or no bite).

Tasting:

Chilled before drinking. Clear, light wheat straw color. Ripe honeydew melon aroma; smooth, but with a slight tang on entry; vivacious melon, green apple, citrus and peach flavors followed by a WOW of a finish that was bursting with chalky mineral. Simply FANTASTIC CHARDONNAY…delicate through and through, VERY, VERY, VERY fresh and flavorful from bouquet through the finish. Vicky summed it up by saying “it was crisp, light and refreshing, and unusual with the citrus tartness”. This was a Chardonnay we said was a real treat with our turkey soup and it gets two thumbs up from both of us. We called it a NOTEWORTHY white Burgundy that was one the best value Chardonnays we have had in quite a while…take it from us, this one is a real keeper!!!
