Tasting:

Opened and decanted one hour before drinking. Clear, ruby-purple color with a slightly lighter rim. Blackberry, cranberry, boysenberry and cinnamon aromas. Smooth slightly bitter mouthfeel, 400-grit texture and medium-full body. Blackberry, raspberry and sweet tobacco flavors. Bright acidity, smooth tannins and a long tar, smoky tobacco and peppery tasting finish. This Turley Zinfandel lacks the traditional rich and intense character…instead it’s lighter, silky smooth, filled with fresh fruit flavors and is more like Italian Primitivo. We loved it!!! Outstanding with and without a food pairing and a wine that has a very versatile persona. Delicious Zinfandel and a SUPER SPECTACULAR value…without question one of the best value wines we’ve had in a long time.

The Hayne Vineyard in the Napa Valley was one of 15 Turley vineyards that provided grapes for this Juvenile Zinfandel
