Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Just clear, dark ruby color with the same color rim. Intense fresh red and dark fruit aromas with lots of damp wood, freshly turned forest floor and hints of yeast. Silky smooth, rich and voluptuous mouthfeel, 800-grit texture and a full body. Opulent plum, blackberry, cherry coke and tar flavors. Mouthwatering bright acidity, silky fine-grained tannins and a long tart finish. WOW, WOW, WOW this was VERY SPECIAL Rioja. Excellent pairing with the stuffed peppers, but an absolutely fantastic red wine sipping without food. It was elegant red wine that was intense and flavorful. The velvety texture and wonderful concentration of fresh fruit from start to finish really made this a “wine lovers” treat. This was truly a wine that excelled and we wished there was more in our cellar. Stellar Rioja that’s an excellent value at $49.95!!!
