Tasting:

Opened and decanted one hour before drinking. Opaque, dark garnet/purple color with a light to medium color rim. Pungent plum, current and blackberry aromas with hints of tobacco and blooming Confederate Jasmine (Trachelospermum jasminoides). Bold, smooth, full-body and a 200-grit texture. Intensely powerful blackberry, plum, chocolate and tar flavors that become deep and intense from mid-palate through the silky finish. This wine has balance, round edge tannins and depth…in spades. The 15.5% alcohol is almost nonexistent and the tart, chalky aftertaste sets the stage for anticipation of the next delicious sip. Probably the “BEST” California Zinfandel we have ever had and the combined elegant mouth-feel and rich, sumptuous flavors make it a truly MEMORABLE wine. This is VERY SPECIAL Zinfandel!!!
