Tasting:

He said: Opened 45-minutes before drinking. Slightly opaque, inky dark purple/garnet color with a slightly lighter rim color. Blackberry, current, damp earth and fresh-cut oak saw dust aromas. Smooth as silk and medium-full body; intense dark fruit, liquorice and slightly spicy taste that carries all the way through the long, dry, earthy finish. WOW, what a delicious Syrah. So easy drinking and with its deep mid-palate flavors, complexity and scrumptious fine grain tannins it’s nothing short of OUTSTANDING. Simply FANTASTIC “Old World” Syrah.

She said: Dark purple red, opaque, lots of irregularly spaced rapidly moving legs. The aroma was dark fruit with a hint of smokiness that led to a very fruity taste that also featured the smokiness. With soft tannins, the wine was dry, very smooth and had a medium body and long tasty finish. It was absolutely delicious as a sipping wine and far better than the dinner deserved (except for the grilled chicken, that it really complemented). An excellent wine at $31.50.
