Tasting:

He said: Decanted one hour before drinking. Very dark garnet color, opaque and with a rusty rim. Strong complex dark fruit aromas with hints of damp earth and floral (that lasted through the finish). INTENSE, dry, cherry and blackberry taste with firm tannins and lots of acidity. A long VERY dry finish with lots of delicious minerality. OUTSTANDING pairing with the steak. A delicious wine and a GREAT gift…we loved it.

She said: What wine do you chose for a New Year’s dinner featuring steak? Here’s an excellent choice. With a pleasing aroma that leads to a fruity taste and medium body with wonderful tannins and a long dry finish the wine was scrumptious with the dinner. The tannins and dryness really make it for me. Yummy! If you are having a steak dinner this is a great choice.

Comments: This was a Christmas gift from our oldest son and his wife…it was a real treat.
