Tasting:

He said: Opened 30-minutes before drinking. Dark ruby red color with a garnet rim. LOTS of Damp leaves, earth, wet wood and cherry aromas. Full flavored taste that’s dry and fruity. It finishes strong, long and flavorful. WOW, it’s jumping up and down delicious…this was a GREAT pairing with the eggplant Parmesan, but simply out of this world with the Maytag blue cheese. What started as a simple dinner turned into a banquet with the delicious pairing. FANTASTIC wine at a FANTASTIC price…a five star recommendation from me!!!

She said: Dark rich red color, opaque, with lots of thin steadily moving legs. The big earthy aroma sucked me in immediately and I was not disappointed. With lots of similar flavors the mouth feel was light, dry and full of tannins that continues into the long finish. It was good with eggplant Parmesan but spectacular with the blue cheese in the salad. I could hardly pull myself away from the round of blue cheese we kept earting to write this post. It was a superb yummy treat! A great wine at $19 and I hope there is another bottle in the cellar!
