Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, dark ruby color with the same color rim. VERY AROMATIC, damp earth, plum, cherry and raspberry aromas. Silky Smooth, medium-light body and an 800 grit texture. Concentrated tart pie cherry with a lesser amount of cranberry and raspberry flavors and just a touch of spice that grows as the wine is swished over the tongue. From mid-palate through the end it’s flavor, silky tannins and lots of fresh acidity all intertwined in a fantastic earthy finish. If I had to describe this wine in a few words we would say it’s EXCELLENT, except it ends a little to acidic for our palate. With that said it was great with the rosemary on the swordfish and we really enjoyed it after the dinner. We were very taken by the earthy aromas that dominated every sip from start to finish and the the fresh liveliness that’s not usually associated with Pinot Noir. Very good California Pinot Noir.
