Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, dark ruby color with the same color rim. Earthy cherry and raspberry with lots of dried leaves and strong mushroom aromas. Smooth, VERY approachable, dry slightly spicy mouth feel, medium body and a 400-grit texture. Dominant cranberry flavor, but lots of cherry, raspberry and pomegranate fruit tastes that were blended with a trace of clove from mid-palate through the very end. We’ll balanced with refreshing crisp acidity, very fine grained tannins that had just a glimmer of grip and a long fruity finish that reveals a flicker of mineral at the end. WOW, WOW, WOW, this really caught our fancy. All kinds of spicy notes with every sip. Fantastic paired with the chicken, but stellar sipping without food. This had intoxicating tastes and mouthfeel that were effortlessly elegant. It’s one of our favorite Sandhi wines.
