Tasting:

He said: Opened 30-minutes before drinking. Clear, ruby red color with the same color rim. Strong damp earth, raspberry and cherry aromas. The mouth-feel was light, smooth, dry and with lots of bright acidity; plentiful raspberry taste and a long, dry, fruity finish. This wine was a bit of a sleeper…it started as a somewhat nondescript Pinot Noir, but it really opened up…each pour and each taste had additional flavors and depth. The gobs of mineral became evident in the aroma through the finish, the acidity became more crisp and the tannins became more supple. It was delicious Pinot Noir at a very good price.

She said: Ruby red color with a slightly brownish rim, lots of regularly spaced quickly moving legs. The mild fruity aroma was complemented by a mustiness and developed into a pleasing flavor in the mouth. A light body was accompanied by a pleasant dryness and acidity that lasted into the long finish. The wine complemented the Marsala chicken and was a quality wine at only $17.10.
