Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Very dark purple/ruby color with a light violet rim. Earthy, fresh berry aroma that follows through into the taste with lots of ripe raspberry, blackberry, and current flavors. Smooth entry that quickly becomes a powerful full body wine that’s quite unusual for a red Burgundy. The long finish was full of ripe sensuous tannins and succulent flavors. This was a WOW…in spades!!! We were surprised by the dark color when it was poured into the glass, immediately taken by the intoxicating aromas and the velvety texture, rich flavors and almost satiny ripe tannins really made it special. This was one of those memorable wines that you come across every now and then…we call it OUTSTANDING and a FANTASTIC VALUE. And, our humble dinner did not even begin to do it justice!!!
