Tasting:

Opened 90-minutes before drinking. Clear, ruby color with a light brownish rim. Wonderful cinnamon, cherry and raspberry aromas. Silky smooth, rich, energetic and tart mouthfeel, medium body and a 400-grit texture. Powerful tart cherry, tar, pomegranate and raspberry flavors. Well balanced vivid acidity, dense yet refined well integrated tannins and a lingering fruit finish that had a dusty sensation and a hint of spice in the aftertaste. WOW, WOW, WOW this was FANTASTIC California Pinot Noir. It elevates smooth, flavor and mouthfeel to a whole different level, but it was still “New World” bold. It was jumping up and down good paired with the mushroom soup and we enjoyed every sip. In the end we simply called this a MEMORABLE California Pinot Noir.
