Tasting:

Opened and decanted one hour before drinking. Clear, copper/ruby color with a much lighter rim. Powerful aromas of cherry, tar, smoke and sweet spice. Smooth entry, intense and chewy mouthfeel, light to medium body and a 60-grit texture. Strong cherry, cranberry and peppery spice flavors. Bright, yet not over the top acidity, fantastic firm, but soft edged invigorating tannins and a long finish that was flavorful, complex and extremely well balanced. This was outstanding Nebbiolo, it was filled with bold flavors and mouthfeel yet could only be called luxurious. It was energetic and focused with wonderful accents of sweet and peppery spices. The balance was spot-on and it’s already drinking extremely well. We thought it fit our palates perfectly and was both interesting and awesome!!!
