Tasting:

Opened 30-minutes before drinking. Slightly opaque and cloudy, dark brownish garnet color with the same color rim. Powerful sweaty horse, barnyard and ripe cherry aromas. Smooth, slightly rustic, dry, dusty mouthfeel, light to medium body and 150-grit texture. Rich cherry, currant, licorice and mushroom flavors. Plenty of crisp acidity, DELICIOUS fine grained tannins, but with just a hint of grip and a long flavorful fruity finish with just a glimmer of spice. WOW, WOW, WOW, what a fantastic flavorful wine. The dark color and strong aromas, yet light body and snappy acidity were an unusual juxtaposition. We called it a GREAT Spanish red.
