Tasting:

He said: Opened one hour before drinking. Almost opaque, very dark garnet color with a light rim. Rich cherry, plum, damp earth and hints of spice in the aromas (also a fairly strong honey-suckle floral aroma in the later pours). VERY smooth silky texture with blackberry and plum taste with lots of dusty mineral that continues through a very long dry finish that finally ends slightly tart. GREAT Chateauneuf-du-Pape that was a perfect pairing with the steak and blue cheese and was very pleasant drinking alone after the meal. It was FANTASTIC from the sniff to the finish on every pour and even at $50 I recommend it without reservation.

She said: Dark red, opaque; sparse, thin well moving legs. Mild musty aroma leads to a full mouth flavor with lots of body, dryness, and delicious moderate tannins. The dryness and tannins continue into the long finish. The wine was delicious with the dinner and luscious with the chocolate cake. I would I buy it again although it is not a bargain wine.
