Tasting:

He said: Opened 15-minutes before drinking. Clear, inky garnet color with a brownish rim. Strong blackberry aroma with hints of damp earth. Rich, smooth blackberry taste that was absolutely lush and silky. The flavors continue on through a long finish that’s dry and slightly tart with hints of mineral at the very end. This wine had the most easily distinguishable blackberry bouquet and juicy taste I’ve ever had in a wine!!! Excellent with the cheese and excellent drinking alone. For me it’s clearly a Quality wine at a Bargain price. An unusual Spanish Grenache that should be on everybody’s shopping list.

She said: Dark garnet red, opaque, lots of irregularly spaced thin rapidly moving legs. The mild, slightly fruity aroma gives no hint of what is to come. The first taste is a blast of blackberry like nothing I have ever had before. The mouth-feel was dry and smooth with just enough tannins to be interesting but not dominant. The body is on the light side and the long finish continues the flavors and tannins. This is a very unique wine and very enjoyable as well as being a great bargain at $10.
