Tasting:

Opened 45-minutes before drinking. Clear, inky dark purple-ruby color. Mild raspberry, plum and cherry aromas with hints of earthiness and chocolate. Very smooth, chewy, with a zesty mouthfeel, medium to full body and a 150-grit texture. Tart cherry, raspberry, ripe strawberries and spicy flavors. Nice crisp acidity, soft tannins (but, with unanticipated grip in the finish) and a long dusty finish with just a touch of spicy bitterness. WOW, very, very easy drinking with or without food and just enough substance, dryness, and flavor to get into the “Noteworthy” category. VERY SUMPTUOUS wine that’s an OUTSTANDING value!!!
