Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, brownish ruby color with the same color rim. Earthy cherry and leather aromas. Smooth entry with a fresh bone dry mouthfeel, light body and a 100-grit texture. Ripe cherry and just a touch of strawberry flavors. Bright acidity, embracing chewy tannins and a long tannic and peppery finish. Simply delicious with juicy fruit flavors, unimpaired fresh acidity and tannins that we’re to die for. We don’t usually totally agree on wines, but we both said this was VERY SPECIAL. Not inexpensive for a Sicilian red wine, but it was absolutely a GREAT value. This was one of the best Sicilian red wines we’ve had in a long while!!! It is in the same league as Occhipinti and Marco De Bartoli wines.
