Tasting:

He said: Chilled before drinking. Clear, quite dark oat straw color. Light honeydew melon and fresh cut alfalfa aromas. Very smooth entry with a medium body; pear and apple flavors with a strong mineral backbone and a musky spice taste that continues through a long slightly tart and earthy mineral finish. This is a WOW Roussanne with its richness, depth of flavors and suave mouth-feel. Perfectly balanced, very food friendly and simply a delicious patio sipping wine. So how do I rate it…clearly WAY above the norm and I will surely buy more Tablas Creek Roussanne, so it gets a STRONG recommendation from me and I would call it OUTSTANDING Roussanne!!!

She said: Clear, golden yellow color, regularly spaced medium wide legs that moved along reasonably well. Very mild floral aroma followed by a very smooth mouth-feel with a full body and slight musky flavors of pear and honey. The finish was long with a slight creamy feeling, then ending with a touch of tardiness. The wine complemented the chicken and pesto very well and seem to be food friendly perhaps because of his lack of strong aroma and flavor. It was delicious drinking alone and I look forward to another bottle because of its versatile nature. Another delightful Tablas Creek wine.
