Tasting:

He said: Chilled before drinking. Clear, glycerin-like golden yellow color. Fresh ripe apple and floral aromas. Very smooth mouth-feel with crisp acidity; ripe apple, pineapple and citrus flavors with hints of nutmeg that led to a very long tart apple finish. Fantastic with the seared tuna salad, but also a great sipping wine. The lively acidity was expected but the rich fruit flavors and silky texture were outstanding added benefits. We have previously reviewed four different wines from this producer (see our Meinklang reviews) and this one just added to the list of SUPERB Meinklang wines we have had. Two thumbs up from me…GREAT biodynamic Austrian Pinot Gris.

She said: Clear, golden yellow color. Mild floral aroma followed by a most beautiful silky smooth mouth feel that won my heart immediately. The high acidity made it a great match for the salad and complemented the tuna. The finish was dry, long, and full of flavor. As much as I love the wine with dinner I enjoyed it as much or more sipping after dinner. An excellent wine at $17.10 and I would buy it again in a flash.
