Chilled before drinking. Clear, wheat straw color. Honeysuckle, rose floral and slight petrol aromas. Silky smooth, fresh and very, very slightly creamy mouthfeel, medium body and a 200-grit texture. Guava, a little mango and even less ginger spice flavors. Lots of acidity and a long captivating finish that ends with fresh guava, lemon and a touch of petroleum taste. Nice lean Gewürztraminer that should please a wide audience. Quite different from the Old World Gewürztraminer we usually drink. It’s not so in-your-face with floral aromas or lychee flavors and was drier with more acidic freshness. Excellent with the food and equally good as a sipping wine. We called it an extremely nice California Gewürztraminer.
