Tasting:

Chilled before drinking. Clear, dark oat straw color. Very aromatic honeysuckle, ripe pear, citrus and yeasty aromas. Silky smooth entry, slightly creamy mouthfeel, 200-grit texture and a full body. Abundant flavors of fresh yellow apple, homemade quince jelly and a nuttiness. Lots of edgy acidity and a vibrant apple finish. WOW, rich Chardonnay with acidity that has kept it fresh and lively for 24 years!!! The cork was wet just about to the top, but there was not even a hint of oxidation. This was a fascinating and delicious California Chardonnay that should be on every wine drinkers “Must Try” list. We loved it (just as we have all the Kalin Cellars wines we’ve had in the past), but both of us agreed it was a unique and simply OUTSTANDING Chardonnay.
