Tasting:

Chilled before drinking. Clear, wheat straw color. Unusual musty mineral aroma (that disappeared by the second pour) along with floral and sweet honeysuckle. Somewhat smooth entry, fresh and a little creamy mouthfeel, medium body and a 100-grit texture. Apple, lemon and a tiny bit of pineapple flavors. There were also intermittent tastes of hazelnuts after mid-palate on the 2nd and 3rd pours. Medium, well balanced acidity and an interesting tasting finish composed of a combination of tartness and fresh picked juicy Seckel pears. WOW, this wine really changed from the first to the last pour and we recommend opening it at least an hour ahead of the first sip. The wonderful combination of flavors and somewhat aggressive mouth texture really made this wine special. The mineral element is just slightly intense and offers a long aftertaste, but when coupled with the fruit it really ends on a high note. We called it a tantalizing and DELICIOUS white burgundy.
