Tasting:

He said: Chilled before opening. Crystal clear salmon color. Wonderful floral aromas. Fresh, crisp and creamy, quite strong strawberry taste that continues through the long flavorful finish. We liked the 2012 vintage and this is every bit as good or better. The floral aromas follow through to the end of the finish; the smooth, creamy, flavorful taste is fantastic; and the hints of mineral give it a perfect ending. This is high on our list of favorite Rosé and it’s an OUTSTANDING bargain. In a nutshell there are not many $11. wines that are this good…it’s a GREAT Rosé!!!

She said: This is the third time we have reviewed this wine (the first of the 2013 vintage) and have found it just as good this time as in the past. The pleasant fragrance and flavor, complemented by the smoothness on the palate and the long pleasing finish were a delight. The wine was at its best after the dinner. It was good with the dinner but did not sing as we had hoped. I strongly recommend this wine, it’s a great example of a Quality Wine at a Bargain Price.

Comments: Also note the 2012 Domaine Houchart Cotes de Provence Rosé was on our Best Wines of 2013 list.
