Tasting:

Opened and decanted 90-minutes before drinking. Just clear, very dark purple and garnet color with a lighter purple rim. Strong ripe cherry, raspberry, cinnamon and blackberry aromas. Smooth, spicy and bold mouthfeel, full body and an 80-grit texture. Spicy cherry, boysenberry, blackberry, strawberry and sweet tobacco flavors. Edgy acidity, prominent yet well integrated tannins and a finish that was filled with tart fruit and peppery spice. WOW, absolutely delicious Zinfandel and yes it’s BIG CALIFORNIA FULL BODIED BOLD, but the intensity and complex tapestry of fruit flavors really make it MEMORABLE. It was luxuriant and ostentatious Zinfandel while still being fresh and filled with an assertive wild character. We said it has to be one of the all-time best Turley Zinfandels and if you could only have one Turley Zinfandel this is the one to grab!!!
