Vecordia Ribera del Duero Roble 2009 (2nd Tasting)

Recommendation: Excellent buy on a good inexpensive Spanish Tempranillo.

Paired With: 2nd Tasting: White fish with red sauce, garlic pasta, fresh steamed spinach.

Tasting:

He said: Very strong wet leather aromas. Intense combination of leather and dark berry taste. Long dry finish loaded with earthy fruit and leather flavors. I liked it better with the red sauce than the first tasting with mustard sauce. As we drank this after dinner it was just outstanding. The tartness and flavors in the mid-palate through the finish is noteworthy and I recommend this as a quality wine at a bargain price.

She said: Loved this with the red sauce just as much as the mustard sauce on the white fish. The complexity of the flavors is what did it for me. Absolutely, would buy it again.
